Outdoor Spaces

With the warm weather hitting San Diego, John and I have been inspired to work on our outdoor spaces. This year we've made a few additions to the patio planters, and the garden is underway.

In fact, we had our first tomato, zucchini, and green pepper this week. Herbs are rocking and we've been using basil, chives and thyme on a regular basis. It's so fun to be fixing dinner and be able to walk outside and grab a few extra ingredients and garnishes.

Here are a few pics from the backyard...the grass needs some help, but can't do much about that when we're in a drought and under water restrictions.

Ooo...cozy. Herb garden just off the patio up against the fence.

Garden! Zucchini, tomatoes x4, peppers x3, cantaloupe and cucumber...mmmm
Back of the house. Our landlord installed the trellis this winter, definite bonus since we now have some shade in the afternoons.
