Bay to Breakers

Back on May 11th I "raced" in my first ever Bay to Breakers in San Francisco. It was an EVENT to say the least. A group of us from work decided to do the race together. If you don't know anything about Bay to Breakers it's less of a race and more of a party. Most folks dress up in costumes...or not if your going the nudist route...but no matter what the case it's a scene. The group from work, 8 of us to be exact dressed up as 7 whole grains in sesame. We were sporting the super hero theme and got plenty of positive feedback from the drunks on the course. A highlight from the day was at the start of the race on Mission street I got to see first hand the tradition of the flying tortillas through the air. It was quite a celebratory mood. The race started about 8am and finally around 8:30 we were strolling in forward motion. Unfortunately, we never got the chance to run; it was seriously just too crowded with the hordes of people and floats. It was a blast and I think the pictures speak for themselves!

The night before the race the gang out on the town

The flying tortillas strike!

No way...the sell Kashi in the liquor store I mean corner market

This does not do justice to how crowded it was
