Bachelorette Party confidential

Part deux of Jenn's bridal festivities featured a girls weekend in Myrtle Beach. I arrived in Raleigh Friday a.m. and Jenn picked me up and it was onward for the beach! After everyone arrived Friday night we had cocktails, dinner, festive desserts* followed by a lingerie party. I don't think we embarrassed Jenn too much :) Saturday after breakfast we went for a walk on the beach and deciding that the weather was nicer than expected we hit the pool for some tanning. It was the perfect temperature with full sun and a slight breeze...too perfect b/c I think we all dozed off for a short nap. After regrouping up at the condo and catching some of the ACC tourney we decided to head out for a quick pedi before our night on the town. I guess you could say there were two surprises to Saturday night, one being the weather. Turns out we were in the line of a big thunderstorm and in a tornado watch no less. We all told jenn that we were going to take a cab so we wouldn't have to worry about driving in the bad weather, but we decided to surprise Jenn with a limo rental (surprise #2). It was super cool and fun way for us to all ride together. Not to mention on our way to dinner at Broadway at the Beach we had torrential rain and hail (good thing we weren't driving). After dinner at Key West Grill we hit the Blarney Stone Pub in our festive green boas and attracted the attention of some guys that were good sports. We played some bachelorette card games and then hit the dance club across the way. Then we decided to go for a spin in the limo again before hitting one last club. What a night.....and amazingly tame, even if mom was still a bit stunned at the last dance club :) Hopefully we showed the bride to be one last big night on the town as a single lady. Cheers to you, Jenn!!
Girls night out indeed!

Jenn's Bridal Shower

To mark the first of many fun wedding events to come for my sis, February 22nd we helped Jenn celebrate with a bridal shower. Amber and I hosted the shower at her home in Richmond, Va. It was fun getting to plan such a special day for Jenn and was great getting a chance to visit with family and friends. Here are a few shots from the day.
