At last...the end of summer....time for a reunion with my aussie girls. This year we rendezvoused in Toronto at Heather's place and her new turf. There have been lots of excitement and changes in the past year. Crissy and Heather finishing up school (PhD and masters respectively; smarty pants), Kelly beginning her second year of clinical psychology school, moves to new cities (Heather to Toronto and Crissy to DC/NH), and engagements for Miss Kell! Whew!
After we all arrived in Buffalo we drove across the border and stopped at Niagara Falls to catch the sunset and have dinner. At dinner we toasted Kelly and her engagement and talked all about the upcoming wedding next summer. Saturday we had a lazy morning at the coffee shop and walked along lake Ontario (Heather's place is just a 3 blocks from the lake!). A trip to downtown followed by getting our palm/cards red as we do every year. On Sunday we drove southwest of the city to Heather's parents house to spend the night in the country. What a gorgeous setting on the river....and we even had an encounter with a skunk (note pictures below). We survived just fine, but the skunk and Heather's dog, Sheva, did not fair as well. Can't wait till the next time we are reunited because the time we spend together is truly magical. fly fly fly.
