Earlier this month Anna came out to escape the frigid cold of DC and to visit with us. We crammed a bunch into the weekend including: The view from our table at C-Level Restaurant
Fine dinning on San Diego Bay, Whale Watching off the coast, fine dinning at the Jutland Drive abode, a night on the town in PB, lounging on the couch, and catching the sun set over the pacific. Below are a few highlights from the weekend but I'm also attaching a link to shutterfly in case you want to check all of them out. Enjoy!

A Saturday Hike
So after NCSU beat UNC on Saturday (GO PACK!), John and I took advantage of the adrenaline rush and drove out to Ramona for an afternoon hike. Mt Growler was the destination and though we think we were on the wrong trail the entire time we still enjoyed the 70 degree temps, afternoon sunset, and watching Miles run on the trail. Post hike we did a little exploring and John was able to locate the trail head for the devil's punchbowl. Seriously, you gotta love that internal GPS system of his....John's been to that trail once in his life 5 years ago and was able to find it driving in the dark!?!? Anyways, we'll definitely be going back out to Ramona this spring to do that hike which ends at this amazing waterfall and swimming hole. Can't wait for that one!

January Update
It's hard to believe that the month of January has come and gone already. For a quick recap, it was actually cold here. We had some 30 degree nights and snow flurries were spotted in the Eastern part of the county. Right after new years we dog sat for a coworker's dog, Marvin, "the megamouth" boxer. I've never heard an animal or a human snore the way that dog snored and his gas rivaled John's!!! Mid January we celebrated our friend, Paul's birthday at Rafaella's, went to the VitroRobertson Holiday Party at the swanky Airport Lounge, and made a trip out to the Anza-Borrego desert for a bouldering trip. Rounding out the 31 days we went bowling last weekend and actually felt like we were transported back to NC. Apparently, the location of the bowling alley does not differentiate it from any other bowling alley in the nation. We saw so many rednecks and it was country song after country song on the karaoke machine. I could have sworn I was in Fayetteville or Jacksonville!?!?! Who would have known! Enjoy the assortment of pictures from the month.
